In Age of Wonders: Planetfall, you explore a big, science fiction world that used to be a part of a big galactic empire called the Star Union. However, this empire has collapsed, and the game takes place many years after this happened. Now, groups of siblings have become separate groups with their own ideas for rebuilding the world.
As you play the game, you lead one of six different groups that each have their own unique qualities. You will use a mixture of strategy, military power and diplomacy to progress further in the game. You will meet other survivors, discover abandoned places and learn about the fallen empire. You will also have to build and create your own colonies, using different technologies and social development skills to try and win the game by taking over other colonies, making peace or using advanced technologies.
The battles in the game are turn-based and very intense. Your units can be customized, and the environment can be torn apart, which will help you perfect your tactics. The game has a deep single-player story mode and randomly generated maps, so you can play it in lots of different ways. If you pre-order the game, you get a special pack that includes lots of different things like an epic cape, Union Crown, Emperor Garb, Imperial Hood, Levitation Diplomacy Pose, and Paragon Mod Template Icons.
