Command an army in a game where you take turns making strategic moves. You're an adviser for the Orange Star Army. You need to be good at moving different types of units like ground, air and sea to win battles, capture towns and bases, and ultimately achieve victory. You also have to pay attention to changing weather and terrain on the battlefield.
You can play two different campaigns, which tell the stories of Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. You'll meet different Commanding Officers like Andy, Max, and Sami, each with their own special skills and abilities. For example, Andy can fix units while Sami can make troop abilities stronger. Be careful, though, because your opponents' leaders have special powers too! Throughout the game, the COs play important roles in the story and battles.
In Versus Mode, up to four players can play and choose a CO from either campaign. You can use different options like funds per base, and fog of war to make your own custom battles. Use your CO's powers in clever ways to win the fight and take control of the battlefield.
