Concrete Genie tells the story of a young boy named Ash, who is bullied and unhappy. To escape his problems, he uses his imagination to draw in his sketchbook. Ash lives in a town called Denska, which used to be a beautiful place by the seaside, but now it is polluted and dark. One day, Ash finds a magical paintbrush in a lighthouse. With this brush, he can paint colorful and magical creatures called Genies, which help him to clean up the pollution and bring back the beauty to Denska.
In the game, you get to use the controller to paint your own colorful designs in the streets of Denska. You can also find pages of Ash's sketchbook to add more tools to help you create your designs. As you progress, you get to create bonds with the Genies you painted, and they will help you solve puzzles and open up new areas in Denska.
If you have PlayStation VR, there are also two VR modes included. In one mode, you can help a Genie discover a new power through painting, and in the other mode, you get to use the PlayStation Move motion controllers to create living landscapes.
