After one month in a new world, Subaru and his friends hear that a big event to choose the next ruler of the Kingdom of Lugunica has been postponed, but they don't know why. They go back to the capital city and learn that a sixth person wants to be ruler, even though only five are allowed. People start to suspect that Emilia might be involved in something bad. There are lots of secrets and problems to solve, including betrayal and assassination plots. The game comes with four special pins of Emilia, Subaru, Rem, and a new character that you can't get anywhere else. The story was written by Tappei Nagatsuki, who created the original Re:ZERO. There are also new characters drawn by Shinichirou Otsuka and old favourites from the series.
