EnableAll Assist-Bar is EnableAll’s accessibility toolbar that appears on our clients’ websites, giving visitors the ability to personalize how they browse.
Through an intuitive on-site widget, visitors can adjust colors, contrast, font size, and typography, as well as activate a wide range of accessibility tools designed to improve readability, focus, navigation, and overall comfort.
Assist-Bar supports people with diverse accessibility needs, including those with epilepsy, ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and visual, hearing, or motor impairments. Rather than assuming what someone needs, it empowers each visitor to choose the tools that work best for them.
Many features are also valuable for everyday browsing (such as text-to-speech, video captions, and layout adjustments) making websites easier to use for everyone.

Yes. EnableAll Assist-Bar supports WCAG requirements at A, AA, and AAA levels, for example by allowing customers to change font sizes and colors. This strengthens your compliance with ADA, EAA, and other accessibility laws. For comprehensive compliance, we recommend combining EnableAll Code-Fix and a manual accessibility audit.
Yes. When shoppers can adjust text size, colors, and navigation to suit their needs, they stay longer and buy more. Without these tools, many customers abandon their cart, not because they don't want your products, but because they can't comfortably browse or complete checkout. With 1 in 4 people living with a disability, that's a significant portion of your potential revenue. Assist-Bar also signals that your brand cares about inclusion, building trust and loyalty that drives repeat purchases.
No. The toolbar is designed to be lightweight and only applies changes when shoppers choose to use it. We work hard to deliver no impact on page speed or Core Web Vitals. Our Auto-Audit scanning tool runs less frequently than other accessibility widgets to give you the compliance visibility you need without slowing the site.
No. Assist-Bar operates as a lightweight layer that doesn't modify your theme code. Adjustments only affect the individual shopper's view.
Minutes. Once you install EnableAll from the Shopify App Store, Assist-Bar is ready to use immediately, no developer setup or code changes required.
Assist-Bar helps visitors with a wide range of needs including low vision, color blindness, dyslexia, motor impairments, cognitive disabilities, and those who rely on keyboard navigation. Rather than assuming what each person needs, we let every visitor adjust settings to suit them.
Assist-Bar supports 133 languages and automatically adapts to your store's language settings. This makes it suitable for international stores serving customers across multiple regions

Yes. You can adjust the toolbar's position, colors, and icon to match your brand. Assist-Bar is designed to feel like part of your site, not an external add-on.
Yes. EnableAll automatically records a visitor's preferences on any individual site without collecting personal information, so your site appears exactly how they need it every time they return, no need to reconfigure on each visit.
No. Overlays attempt to automatically fix accessibility issues with JavaScript, often masking problems rather than solving them, and sometimes creating new barriers. Assist-Bar is different: it gives visitors tools to customize their own experience, while Code-Fix handles actual code-level remediation. We fix the code; we don't cover it up.
Four things set us apart: First, Assist-Bar includes features that support WCAG Level A, AA, and AAA requirements, going beyond the basics most toolbars offer. Second, we built it with input from accessibility experts, people with disabilities, and accessibility UX/UI designers. Third, our color customization options are more flexible and accessible than other accessibility apps, visitors can fine-tune contrast, hues, and saturation rather than choosing from limited presets. The result is a toolbar that actually works for the people it's designed to help. Fourth, Assist-Bar integrates with EnableAll Code-Fix which offers powerful backend Code-Fixes that enhance WCAG compliance: Unlike pure overlays that rely on heavy scripts, this delivers stronger compliance, better assistive technology compatibility, improved SEO foundations, and no impact on your original theme.
Based on actual usage, the most popular features are:

Adjust visuals — greyscale, brighter, or darker images

Simplify text — clearer, easier-to-read content

Larger cursor — easier to track on screen
Letter spacing — improved readability for dyslexia and low vision
Stop animations — reducing motion for vestibular or focus needs
Text-to-speech — content read aloud

ecause no two people experience disability the same way. Built with input from accessibility experts and people with disabilities, we found that pre-set profiles (like "blind mode" or "dyslexia mode") assume everyone with the same condition wants the same settings. They don't. Instead, EnableAll gives every visitor access to individual tools they can adjust to their own needs. Shoppers can also filter by preference (such as reading, focus, or navigation) to quickly find what helps them most. We're open to feedback from our customers if they would like to see profiles.
No. Assist-Bar does not collect personal information or track visitor behavior. Settings are stored locally in the visitor's browser. This keeps you compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations. Your customers' privacy stays protected.
No. Both are included in your plan, but you can disable Assist-Bar in settings if you only want Code-Fix. They work best together, Code-Fix repairs your code, Assist-Bar gives shoppers frontend controls.
Assist-Bar is included in all EnableAll pricing plans alongside Code-Fix and Auto-Audit — you choose which features to enable. We pride ourselves on fair, transparent pricing with no surprise bills. We charge based on your 12-month average usage rather than seasonal peaks, so a busy holiday period won't spike your plan. Pricing terms are published clearly outside of legal agreements, and your dashboard tracks usage in real time.
